Established in 1908, the University of Pretoria (UP) is a leading public research university with seven campuses located in Hatfield and the surrounding areas. UP is proud to host South Africa’s only Faculty of Veterinary Science, as well as Africa’s top-ranked business school, the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), which introduced the country’s first MBA program outside North America in 1949. The university serves over 56,000 students and offers more than 1,200 programs across nine faculties and GIBS.
